Lenovo Legion Pro 7 Gaming Laptop Launched, Now with Ryzen 9000 HX

 Processor Technology company Lenovo has released the Legion Pro 7 gaming laptop. This laptop was launched at the Lenovo Innovation World event held in Berlin, Germany, on Thursday (April 9, 2025). The Lenovo Legion Pro 7 was actually released earlier this year, but it was powered by Intel processors and called the Legion Pro 7i series. Now, Lenovo provides the same device, but supported by AMD Ryzen 9000 HX series processors.


 "This laptop offers more options for gamers looking for high performance, including high refresh rate, better cooling system, and various features for competitive gaming," said Luca Rossi, President of Lenovo's Intelligent Device Group at the Grand Hyatt, Berlin. Rossi also mentioned that this laptop is equipped with a PureSight OLED display that supports refresh rates of up to 240 Hz.

Although the processors are different, the design of the Lenovo Legion Pro 7 for AMD and Intel remains the same. The area around the laptop's camera is made more prominent compared to the other areas surrounding the device's screen. In addition, the four arrow keys on the laptop are also arranged symmetrically with the other rows of keys.

The Lenovo Legion Pro 7 features a 16-inch PureSight OLED display with WQXGA resolution, a 240 Hz refresh rate, a 0.08 millisecond response time, 500 nits brightness, and Dolby Vision support. To keep the device's temperature stable, Lenovo added an integrated Legion Coldfront Vapor cooling system with a hyperchamber thermal design, capable of producing a maximum TDP of 275 watts. Lenovo Legion Pro 7 is also equipped with up to 32 GB DDR5 5600 MHz RAM and SSD storage up to 2 TB. This laptop features a battery capacity of up to 99.9 WHr, supported by a 400-watt Super Rapid Charge for quick recharging.


Like other gaming laptops, this AMD version of the Lenovo Legion Pro 7 features a keyboard with RGB backlighting. Lenovo has also integrated a 5 MP camera equipped with a shutter to enhance video calls and protect user privacy. This laptop runs on Windows 11, supports WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and has four speakers with Nahimic Audio system. In terms of connectivity, the Legion Pro 7 supports USB-C, HDMI, USB-A, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

The AMD processor version of the Legion Pro 7 is set to be marketed in October 2025 at a starting price of 2,899 euros.
