OVO Zero: Ergonomic mouse alternative for relaxed working

Anyone who works with a mouse for many hours every day knows the problem: wrist and forearm fatigue, and sometimes real discomfort develops over time. The British startup NextAxis Design has developed a different approach with the OVO Zero – not an ordinary input device, but an egg-shaped device that translates hand movements in space into digital control commands.

How does the OVO Zero work?

Instead of dragging a mouse across the desk, you move the cursor by tilting and rotating the device in your hand. It can be used both in the air and on a mousepad, and is designed to put less strain on the wrist in both cases. The device weighs just under 100 grams and fits comfortably in the palm of your hand.

Features and equipment

Clicking and scrolling are possible just like with a conventional mouse. The two-part housing allows for different function assignments: the upper part is used for cursor movement and typing, the lower part for scrolling and swiping. Sensitivity, macros, and gestures can be customized, and individual profiles can be created for different workflows.

The gadget requires no drivers and works wirelessly via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi with Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS. The battery lasts up to 80 hours and can be charged via USB-C or wirelessly.

Who is OVO Zero suitable for?

This gadget is particularly well-suited for 3D applications, presentations, and design software.
