Redmi Note 15 series launches in Europe: Xiaomi introduces five models with new chips, stronger cameras, and greater robustness.

Xiaomi has officially released its new Redmi Note generation for Europe. Although many variants have been available since the end of 2025, the full market launch with warranty, widespread availability, and a clear model structure is only now beginning. The series comprises five devices that differ significantly in features, wireless standards, and cameras, thus aiming to appeal to a broad audience.

It's noticeable that Xiaomi offers more models in Europe than in China. Only three variants were released there, while two additional LTE-only devices were added here. At the same time, several technical details differ from the Chinese versions. The choice of processors, in particular, shows significant differences: The 4G models use MediaTek G-series chips, while the 5G devices, depending on the model, rely on either Snapdragon or Dimensity platforms. Only the 5G variants largely match their Chinese counterparts in terms of the SoC.

Xiaomi is also taking a different approach to the cameras in Europe. The Note 15 5G here features a higher-resolution main sensor and an ultra-wide-angle camera, which is absent in China. In the Note 15 Pro 5G, a 200-megapixel sensor replaces the 50-megapixel unit used in the Chinese version. The Pro+ 5G also adopts a 200-megapixel camera but loses the telephoto lens of the Chinese version. The front cameras have also been partially upgraded.

Battery capacities are slightly lower in Europe than in China, but still generously sized. Depending on the model, they range from 5520 to 6580 mAh, with the Pro+ 5G combining this with particularly fast 100-watt charging. The other devices charge at 33 or 45 watts. Xiaomi uses silicon-carbon cells in several models, which, according to the manufacturer, should retain a large portion of their capacity even after many charging cycles.

All devices use AMOLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate and high peak brightness. The Pro models offer higher resolutions and faster touch sampling rates. Xiaomi also promises improved durability: the top models are IP68-certified, and the Pro+ is additionally IP69-certified. The more affordable versions achieve lower protection ratings but retain features such as NFC, an infrared transmitter, and stereo speakers.

Xiaomi is still using HyperOS 2, based on Android 15, for its software. An update to HyperOS 3 is planned. The entire series will receive four major Android updates and six years of security patches. Features like Google Gemini, Circle to Search, and reverse charging are also integrated. The Pro+ 5G exclusively features an offline voice calling function for calls when there is no network coverage.

The series starts at just under €200 for the base model and tops out at around €530 for the Pro+ 5G with maximum storage. Xiaomi is offering discounted early-bird prices at launch, which are up to €50 below the recommended retail price, depending on the model. Color options range from black, blue, and purple to brown and green, depending on the device.
