New Xiaomi car with racetrack ambitions spotted?

Recent spy shots from Chinese highways are causing quite a stir, as they show a heavily camouflaged two-door electric sports car with a massive rear wing. Rumors are swirling, with speculation that this is the next big thing from Xiaomi's automotive division, boasting serious track-day ambitions and radical aerodynamics.

New Xiaomi car with racetrack ambitions spotted?

Major aero upgrades and the distinctive SU7 taillight

What we see in the pictures is definitely not an everyday car. A huge, fixed rear wing, attached directly to the body structure, adorns the rear. Beneath it sits a massive, multi-layered aerodynamic diffuser. Together with the low, wide body and the sloping roofline, it all screams racetrack.

Why does one immediately think of Xiaomi here? Primarily because of the continuous, ring-shaped LED taillight, which aligns with the familiar design language of the Xiaomi SU7. Quite striking and a clear indicator at first glance.

Speculation about a 2,054 hp quad-engine setup

According to current industry assessments, this two-door coupe could be the platform for a completely new level of performance. So far, the SU7 Ultra has used up to three engines, but here speculation centers on a quad-engine system producing a staggering 2,054 hp.

Isn't something missing?

But here's the big catch. There are absolutely no logos or emblems visible that would definitively identify the car as belonging to Xiaomi.

While the taillight fits extremely well into the overall design, that's not conclusive proof. It could very well be a car from a completely different manufacturer that uses a very similar design concept for its taillights. After all, car manufacturers often "inspire" each other.

An extremely exciting two-door car with a big question mark.

What do you think of the spy shots that have surfaced? Visually, the sports car with its massive spoiler package certainly makes a statement and promises to be a real powerhouse. First, however, we have to wait and see if Xiaomi officially confirms this two-door model. Then there's the question of Xiaomi's intentions. Is this simply another demonstration of their capabilities, or do they perhaps even have competitive ambitions?
