Apple Releases iOS 26.0.1, Fixes Signal and Camera Issues

Apple released the first update for iOS 26, namely iOS 26.0.1, starting Monday (29/9/2025).

iOS 26.0.1 was released two weeks after Apple released the stable version of iOS 26 to all users. iOS 26 itself began rolling out to iPhone users on September 15th.

This update doesn't bring many changes. According to the software update details (changelog) , its primary focus is on fixing bugs and improving device security.

Following the release of the stable version of iOS 26, several users reported experiencing issues with their devices. These complaints were most commonly experienced by users of the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone Air.

The issues that arise are quite diverse, ranging from frequent disconnections of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections to an inability to connect to cellular networks, and cameras producing visual artifacts (such as corrupted photos or recordings), among others.

One of the major improvements brought by iOS version 26.0.1 is to wireless connections. Apple has announced that a bug causing devices' Wi-Fi and Bluetooth networks to frequently disconnect has now been fixed.

In addition to WiFi and Bluetooth, the iOS 26.0.1 update also focuses on fixing cellular signal and network issues. Previously, a small number of users complained about being unable to connect to their carrier after updating to iOS 26.

Bugs in the camera and system display

In addition to connectivity, Apple also patched a bug that affected photo results from the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone Air cameras.

Previously, in the iOS 16 version, photos taken from the cameras of the three devices were reported to display quite disturbing visual artifacts.

Artifacts are disturbances/distortions that appear when photos are taken in certain lighting conditions. These disturbances can appear in the form of spots, strange lines, or colors that do not match the original condition.

iOS 26.0.1 also fixes the device's system display, particularly app icons that were reported to be blank or missing details when users added custom tints .

As is known, iPhone users can customize application icons and widgets to their liking.

With this update, Apple also addresses a bug that has been plaguing users of the VoiceOver feature. Previously, several users reported that the feature was suddenly disabled after updating their devices to iOS 26.
