Samsung Galaxy S26: No price increase expected despite more expensive components
Good news for Samsung fans: the upcoming Galaxy S26 series is expected to remain priced similarly to its predecessors. While many manufacturers have recently raised the prices of their flagship models, Samsung isn't following this trend.
According to a report, Samsung is better able to absorb rising production costs than its competitors. This is due to Samsung's strong vertical integration—the fact that many key components are manufactured in-house. These include memory chips, which are produced entirely internally.
Even if DRAM prices rise by up to 30 percent in the fourth quarter, the company will be less affected than other suppliers. A further cost advantage results from using its Exynos 2600 processor, which is expected to power approximately half of all Galaxy S26 series devices. This in-house production reduces dependence on external suppliers and enables stable prices.
An industry expert told Newdaily that Samsung's integrated supply chain and ample inventory allow it to maintain stable pricing in the short term. This contradicts other sources, such as Hankyung, who recently speculated about potential price increases.
The successful sales figures of the Galaxy S25 models are also said to play a role. Since this series exceeded expectations, there is no economic pressure for Samsung to raise prices for its successor.
The Galaxy S26 series is scheduled for release in the first quarter 2026. Initially, a January launch was planned, but according to recent information, the date could be pushed back to late February or early March. This is reportedly due to final hardware adjustments or production bottlenecks for the Exynos 2600 processor.
Whether Samsung can stick to this plan remains to be seen. However, one thing is sure: buyers can look forward to new top-of-the-line models without digging deeper into their pockets.
