iOS 27: Apple is now turbocharging AI

Apple is already working intensively on iOS 27, the next major software update for the iPhone.

According to a report by Mark Gurman, three key AI innovations are in focus, designed to expand Apple's AI capabilities significantly. The voice assistant Siri will receive a comprehensive upgrade in the spring with iOS 26.4, including improved conversational capabilities. iOS 27 will then bring a visual redesign, elevating Siri's visual presence as well.

Greater integration into everyday life

Apple's goal is to integrate its voice assistant more deeply into users' daily lives and modernize it. Furthermore, according to Gurman, the company is working on an AI-powered web search tool that will be deeply integrated into the operating system. 

This should allow users to receive more precise, context-specific search results directly in iOS, without relying on Safari or other search engines.

However, the third innovation is exciting: an AI-based health assistant integrated into the Health app. This so-called "Health+" service is designed to support users in their health management by actively analyzing vital data and providing personalized recommendations.

Significant progress for Apple Intelligence

Compared to the relatively minor AI features in iOS 26, these three new features represent a significant step forward in Apple's AI strategy, according to Gurman, and offer tangible added value in users' everyday lives. So there's reason for us to be excited.
